Red, white, & blueBERRIES.
I hope you had a nice 4th! I know I sure did. I spent the day with my parents and we took a scenic drive through Bucks County (PA). We ended up at Solebury Orchards in New Hope to pick our own blueberries!
Solebury Orchards is awesome. They are not limited to just blueberries. Pick Your Own is available for cherries, apples, etc. within their respective seasons. See below for their PYO offerings. The Cutting Garden is now open to PYO flowers.
Pick Your Own crops, approximate Seasonal Dates (from their website).
Blueberries – June 27 to August 10
Flowers – July 4 to Sept 28
Cherry Tomatoes – Aug 1 to Sept 14
Cherries – June 20 – 23
Blackberries – Aug 1 to August 17
Apples – August 22 to Nov 3
Need to make it a quick pit-stop? They also have fruit/produce/apparel available for purchase in their Market.
The produce is reasonably priced. PYO blueberries are only $2.75 a pound. This is a fun activity that is going to keep you busy for quite some time. Grab a container, and head straight for the fields. Don’t forget the sunscreen. It can get hot while picking fruit, as there is little to no shade.

The grounds are picturesque. Gorgeous flowers and fruit - what more could you ask for?! I cannot wait to make a summer dessert with my blueberries. I am thinking something with lemon!
I ended my visit with a refreshing iced cider from The Market. This was the perfect way to cool down after being in the blazing sun.
How did you celebrate the 4th?
