What an incredible little farm. An Instagrammer’s dream.
Maple Acres Farm and Market is located in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Only 30 minutes from the city, and right off of the turnpike and Germantown Pike, only 3 minutes from the Plymouth Meeting Mall.
The farm was purchased in 1916, it’s a family owned business. They sell everything from pumpkins, to sweets, to hay, to fresh produce, to fresh flower bouquets. They have hayrides, farm animals, pick your own produce, and pick your own flowers (yas)!
I came for the pick your own flowers which are only in season from June to November, so get there A.S.A.P! You can find a cashier, and give them $1 (collateral), and they let you borrow scissors. You can also borrow a basket. I recommend bringing your own sharp scissors. You can go right out to the fields. They will tell you which fields you can go in.
They charge $2 for every 10 Zinnias, or $3 for every 10 Wildflowers. These are some of the brightest flowers I have ever seen. I spent $5 for a gorgeous bouquet that I arranged myself. On Tuesdays, you can pick 50 zinnias for $3. This is a great idea if you need fresh flowers for a party, a shower, or home decor.
Don’t worry, there is parking. I recommend wearing rain boots or shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty in the fields. Bring your camera, and go wild (literally)!
