Blue eyeshadow is no longer a thing of your middle school past.
Huda Beauty has a newer collection on the market, the Precious Stones Collection - an offshoot of her Obsessions Eyeshadow Palettes.
There are 5 different Precious Stone palettes, all named after, you guessed it… precious stones. Ruby, Topaz, Amethyst, Sapphire and Emerald. They retail for $27 per palette. I own the Sapphire palette. This collection instantly caught my eye in Sephora. It’s a gorgeous combination of colors in the same family, shimmers and mattes. I had a hard time deciding which palette I wanted. I decided on Sapphire as I really didn’t have any blue shadows, and I wanted something different. Click here to check them out, or scroll to the very bottom of this post to see all 5 palettes.
I have heard mixed reviews regarding these palettes. I’ve heard they can be hard to blend, and require patience. I really didn’t experience much difficulty with these shadows. The mattes didn’t swatch extremely well, but I never make a determination until I apply them to my eyes. The lime green required a lot of product to get payoff, but I truly didn’t have any trouble with the other shades. The shimmer/metallic shades applied great with my fingers. I experienced little to no fallout.
This definitely won’t be the last palette I get from this collection. They are playful, mature, and just really fun to create looks with.
Let me know in the comments below if you own any of the palettes. Which one is your favorite?
